Carefully curated and immersive, this programme goes beyond a traditional wine course. Combining technical knowledge with first-hand experience, it offers privileged access to the essence of Portuguese wine.
Highlights include:
- Guided tastings led by key figures behind the wines of Lisboa, Península de Setubal and Alentejo, to discover their wines, terroirs and grape varieties
- Speakers with proven, in-depth knowledge of these three regions
- Winegrowers and local experts sharing first-hand experience
- Visits to emblematic wineries, some of them producing the traditional and historical “Vinhos de Talha” (amphora wines) and some with pre phylloxera vineyards like those in Colares, in the Lisboa wine region, and visit to a nursery of typical Portuguese grape varieties in Alentejo
- Technical talks on terroir, grape varieties and wine styles
- Cultural and sensory immersion in these three region’s wine-growing cultures
